He came to NSW with his parents and familyon board the ship "Sir Edward Paget" on 14th February 1842.

Sarah Jane THOMPSON was born in 1835 in Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland.

They were married on 12th January 1853 in Presbyterian Church Yallah, NSW.

They had 10 children :

Sarah died 23rd September 1874 in West Maitland aged 39.

William remarried to Elizabeth HAMILTON in Sydney in 1876.

They had 6 children :

William died 21st February 1915 aged 82.

He is buried in Waverley Cemetery.
