Matilda WATTS and Robert GRACE were married in Port Nicholson, Wellington, New Zealand in 1846.

Matilda was born in Hawkhurst, Kent in 1824.

Robert was born in England in 1817.

He was a sailor.

They left New Zealand on board the schooner "Comet" and arrived in Sydney on 15 October 1847.

Also on board were Matilda's sister Ann and her husband as well as her brother Edward.

They had 10 children:

Robert became a cab proprietor about 1865 and lived in Pyrmont and Glebe.

Robert died 4th July 1893 in Glebe, NSW aged 76.

Matilda died 9th March 1903 in Woonona, NSW aged 79.

She is buried in Leichhardt Cemetery.
